The NFL is one of the most powerful organizations in the world, and there is perhaps no better example of that than one of its team logos infiltrating a tweet from the Pope.
Pope Francis canonized five new saints during a festival at the Vatican City on Sunday that was attended by roughly 50,000 people. The Pope — or the person who handles his social media affairs – tweeted about the event and used #Saints, which of course led to a New Orleans Saints logo being automatically inserted.
Today we give thanks to the Lord for our new #Saints. They walked by faith and now we invoke their intercession.

If the Jacksonville Jaguars were feeling good heading into their game against the Saints on Sunday, that has to at least make them a bit uneasy.
We’ve seen NFL fans petition the Pope in the past on behalf of one of their players, but this is the first time we can ever remember a team logo in a Pope Francis tweet. If you’re the gambling type, you should probably consider betting the house on the Saints.
