Leonard Fournette reportedly cleared air in meeting with Jaguars’ brass
Leonard Fournette’s future with the Jacksonville Jaguars seemed very much in question with the way the 2018 season ended, but it sounds like the star running back may have been able to work things out with those who will decide if he should remain on the roster.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Fournette recently met with Jaguars executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin and other members of the team’s front office to address some of the drama that surrounded him this past season. The meeting apparently went well.
Sources: #Jaguars star RB Leonard Fournette met executive VP Tom Coughlin and the rest of the team’s brass to clear the air and move forward together for 2019, sources say. Sounds like it went well for both sides and things are headed in the right direction.

Fournette had trouble staying healthy throughout the season, and he appeared to end up in head coach Doug Marrone’s doghouse late in the year. After the final game of the season, Coughlin admonished the former LSU star and fellow running back TJ Yeldon for their “selfish” behavior. Marrone then issued a warning to players about the offseason, and many felt he was calling out Fournette.
While there’s no denying he can be a game-changer when healthy, Fournette seems to always be hurt and there have been questions about his level of commitment. Perhaps he answered some of those heading into his third offseason in Jacksonville.
