Tom Coughlin admonishes Fournette, Yeldon for ‘selfish’ behavior
Jacksonville Jaguars VP Tom Coughlin issued a statement on Sunday admonishing Leonard Fournette and TJ Yeldon for their behavior during Sunday’s game.
The Jags offered little resistance in a 20-3 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. Fournette was inactive for the game, while Yeldon was active but did not play. Both players spent most of the game on the bench, even during offensive possessions, according to Daniel Popper.
Yeldon and Fournette, who was inactive, spent virtually the entire game sitting on the bench, even during offensive possessions. More of a bad look for Yeldon because he was active. #Jaguars https://t.co/xrpNvukHF5

In a statement, Coughlin called the players “disrespectful” and “selfish” for their behavior.

“I am disappointed in the behavior today from T.J. Yeldon and Leonard Fournette. They were disrespectful, selfish and their behavior was unbecoming that of a professional football player.” #Jaguars pic.twitter.com/WmcwQKt2Ek

The Jaguars have been nothing short of a mess this season. Expected to be a contender in the AFC, they completely fell apart after a strong early start and have shown very little pride while falling to 5-11. They’ve had players fighting in the locker room and they had some arrests in London. They’re a mess and need to clean things up. That seems to be Coughlin’s intention.
