Marshawn Lynch is not going to be paying any more fines for snubbing the media after games, but that doesn’t mean reporters are going to get anything useful out of speaking with him.
After Sunday’s 35-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals, Lynch came up with a new way to screw with the media. He answered every question with “thanks for asking.”
Marshawn, could you talk about your 79-yard touchdown run? Thanks for asking. How about your stomach issue early in the game? I appreciate you asking about my stomach, thank you.
Lynch’s touchdown run was another vintage Beast Mode play, but he had no interest in discussing the score or the inappropriate end zone dance that followed it.
Simply put, Marshawn despises the media. He fulfilled a media obligation last month by giving nothing but one-word answers to questions. The NFL can force him to meet with reporters, but they can’t tell him what to say.
