Could Mason Rudolph consider legal action against Myles Garrett?
Myles Garrett is almost certainly facing a multi-game suspension for his actions during Thursday night’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, and it would not be a surprise if he is sidelined for the remainder of the year. What happened was so unprecedented that there has been talk about Garrett facing legal action, which is something Rudolph’s agent may have hinted at.
Not long after Garrett ripped Rudolph’s helmet off and smashed the quarterback in the head with it, Rudolph’s agent Tim Younger released a statement about the incident on Twitter. He seemed to imply that Rudolph could consider taking legal action against Garrett.
There are many risks an NFL QB assumes with every snap taken on the field. Being hit on your uncovered head by a helmet being swung by a 275 lb DE is not one of them. Tonight could have had a catastrophic ending. The matter will be reviewed thoroughly.

Younger later told ESPN’s Brooke Pryor that he is not ruling out legal action.
“I am gathering all information and no options have been removed from the table,” Younger said.
Rudolph fortunately did not suffer a serious injury, saying after the game that he was “good to go.”
Many people believe Garrett should be charged with a crime for his actions, which could easily be considered aggravated assault. That outcome seems unlikely, but even Garrett’s own teammates have steered clear of defending him. It’s not out of the question that Rudolph could file a lawsuit, though he probably won’t take it that far.
