Matt Forte not happy Bears went after C.J. Anderson
After spending the first eight years of his career with the Bears, Matt Forte is now a member of the Jets, signing to presumably be their every down running back. While the veteran seems to be pleased with his new situation, the way his tenure in Chicago ended has left a sour taste in Forte’s mouth.
Forte indicated his desire to remain with the Bears. The franchise had another idea, however. Forte announced in an Instagram post in February his time with the Bears had come to an end due to the team choosing to not make an attempt to re-sign him.
The Bears set their sights on C.J. Anderson, who had just helped the Broncos win the Super Bowl, as a possible replacement. This apparently did not sit well with Forte.
Me either RT @singinsince3: The way Ryan Pace went after CJ Anderson after not even offering Forte a contract doesnt sit well with me!!

Emotions and sentiment aside, the decision the Bears made is understandable. Forte turns 31-years-old later this year. Anderson just turned 25. And, with the extra years comes more wear and tear on the body.
Ultimately, Anderson will be a member of the Broncos for four more years as they matched the offer sheet from the Dolphins. Not only did Bears not end up with Anderson, he reportedly turned down more money from Chicago to return to Denver, which may or may not have caused Forte to crack a smile.
