The Detroit Lions fell victim to a controversial call that may have indirectly resulted in a loss Thursday night, and we know one player’s wife who is not going to let the NFL off the hook for it.
The lovely Mrs. Kelly Stafford, of course.
Stafford, the wife of Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, has been known to rip officials when things don’t go in Detroit’s favor. On Friday, she shared a photo of her and her brother on Instagram and said the Lions got “screwed.”
“At least my brother was here to see us get screwed per the usual. #detroitvseverybody,” Stafford wrote.
That was a far less direct shot than the one Kelly took earlier this year, though the officials very clearly made the wrong call in that game.
As for Thursday, it appeared the Lions were on the wrong end of a bad facemask call. We’re not surprised Stafford’s wife is upset.
