Maxx Crosby’s comments on a new podcast have people thinking he would love to join one team in particular if the Las Vegas Raiders trade him.
Crosby was joined by Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams on the latest edition of his podcast, and the episode ends with Crosby piling praise on Williams. Crosby is so effusive that it led to speculation that the edge rusher might want to join the Bears.
“Just to be open and honest, bro, like we talked about earlier, but respect at a different level, bro. You’re one of those guys, for sure, and you’re just getting started,” Crosby told Williams, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “I don’t even know you understand yet how good you can be, and that’s the scariest part. You know what I mean? Just keep that mindset, keep doing what you’re doing. You know we’re locked in forever. So keep doing your thing, bro. You need me, hit me at any time. It goes vice versa.”
That is remarkably high praise from a player who doesn’t have any longstanding relationship with Williams. Crosby is essentially predicting years of stardom for Chicago’s quarterback and makes himself available as a resource for Williams as well.
The Bears could certainly use a player like Crosby. The team finished in the bottom half of the league with 35 sacks last season, a number they will want to improve in 2026. Crosby alone had 10 sacks last year, so he would represent an enormous upgrade.
Fans and analysts are looking for clues about Crosby’s potential landing spot with rumors flying about a possible trade. Another team has also featured prominently, but it should be noted that the Raiders have shown no inclination to deal him.
