Johnny Manziel posted a passer rating of 133.9 and led the Cleveland Browns to a win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. What say you, Merril Hoge?
After being called out by both Manziel last week and Johnny Football’s agent on Sunday, Hoge vowed to “dress accordingly” if Manziel played well in his first start of the season. The ESPN analyst wore an orange tie to work on Monday.

As you can see, Hoge was still sporting a rather large windsor knot, though it was much smaller than the ones Manziel made fun of him for wearing.
No analyst has been more critical of Manziel than Hoge, and Manziel’s agent had a great message for Merril on Twitter Sunday. While the former Texas A&M star wasn’t exactly outstanding, he did not turn the ball over and avoided mistakes. If Josh McCown misses more time and Manziel keeps playing like that, he could end up stealing the starting job.
