Michael Floyd insists his positive alcohol tests last month were triggered by a certain tea he was drinking, but the NFL is apparently not buying the excuse.
ESPN’s Field Yates reported on Friday that Floyd has been suspended for the first four games of the 2017 season.

Floyd was placed on house arrest as part of his sentencing from his 2016 DUI arrest in Arizona, and one of the terms of his probation stated that he is prohibited from drinking alcohol. The former No. 13 overall pick pleaded guilty to extreme DUI after his blood alcohol level was found to be nearly three times the legal limit. Disturbing footage of his arrest (watch it here) showed just how intoxicated he was when police found him asleep at the wheel.
Floyd claimed he had alcohol in his system because he drank kombucha tea. The team sent a letter taking responsibility for having the tea at their facility.
