Mike Zimmer rips effort of Vikings after loss
After the Vikings’ loss to the Colts, head coach Mike Zimmer was not happy with his team’s effort.
Minnesota activated Adrian Peterson and had him available for the first time since he sustained a knee injury during the second game of the season. However, the Vikings were still on the wrong end of a 34-6 final score. Indianapolis jumped out in front early, went into halftime with a 27-0 lead, and never looked back.
During his post game availability with the media, Zimmer ripped the effort shown by the Vikings, saying that wasn’t a “fighting performance.” He also said those who don’t fight can expect to not be around very long.
Mike Zimmer: "I want to find out who's going to fight because that was not a fighting performance there today." #Vikings

Minnesota started the season 5-0 now, but have since gone 2-7 and find themselves in third place in the NFC North. While they aren’t out of the playoff picture, the Vikings certainly have their work cut out for them over the last two weeks of the regular season.
Minnesota goes to Green Bay next week to play the Packers and hosts the Bears in the season finale. If the Vikings are going to get into the playoffs, they will need better performances than they had on Sunday. If not, there may be some personnel changes.
