Mitchell Trubisky limped off the field early in Sunday’s Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and it appears the Chicago Bears quarterback suffered an ankle injury.
Trubisky tried to run for a first down on 3rd-and-10 in the second quarter and came up a bit lame. He ran out of bounds on the play and was not hit, but he ended up going to the trainer’s tent to be examined.
While the injury did not look serious, anything that affects Trubisky’s mobility is a concern for the Bears. He’s capable of picking up gains on the ground and moving outside the pocket to make throws, and that is a big part of his game.
