Nick Bosa exited practice at San Francisco 49ers training camp Wednesday with an injury suffered on a running play. A report says he has a sprained ankle.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says Bosa underwent an MRI that revealed the sprained ankle. Rapoport adds that the 49ers may play things cautiously with their rookie and potentially hold him out of the preseason.
#49ers first-round pick DE Nick Bosa was diagnosed with just an ankle sprain, I’m told. He had an MRI after practice. Expect the team to be cautious with their top pick, meaning you may not see him in the preseason.

The Niners made Bosa the No. 2 overall pick in the draft this year. Bosa left Ohio State after making 14 tackles and four sacks in three games as a junior. His season was cut short by a groin injury. Bosa also suffered a hamstring injury in his first practice at the team’s offseason workouts, which kept him out until training camp.
