Report: Pass interference replay review likely finished in NFL
After one ineffective year in the rulebook, pass interference replay review appears to be on its way out in the NFL.
According to NFL Media’s Judy Battista, nothing will be official until the end of May, but it is highly unlikely that the one-year trial run of pass interference being challenged will be extended.
Competition Committee continues to discuss rules ahead of still-on-schedule meeting at end of May, when votes would take place. PI replay almost certainly will NOT be extended, according to one person familiar with conversations.

This is no shock, and teams have been headed in this direction for a while. Calls on the field were almost never overturned, even when they seemed blatantly wrong. The rule change just didn’t have the impact that its proponents hoped it would. Instead, the league seems to be looking at other ways they can help referees instead.
