Patriots hat placed on Ralph Wilson statue outside Bills stadium
The buzz surrounding a Week 2 matchup between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills has not been lacking, mostly because of the trash talking Rex Ryan and his players are doing leading up to Sunday. But Pats fans are doing their part, too.
For example, some jokester thought it would be funny to place a Patriots hat atop the new statue of the late Ralph Wilson in Orchard Park. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk was sent the image you see above, but he did not reveal the identity of the person responsible.
Wilson, the founder of the Bills, passed away last year at age 94. He is held in the highest regard among Bills fans, and the Bills Mafia will undoubtedly take the hat stunt personally. Just as the Patriots will likely take some of the things Ryan said about them personally.
This should be a good one.
