The New England Patriots parted ways with Jordan Matthews earlier this week after he suffered a hamstring injury that is said to be serious, and they are bringing another veteran wide receiver into training camp to replace him.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots are signing Eric Decker to a one-year contract.
Patriots expected to sign former Titans’, Jets’ and Broncos’ WR Eric Decker to a one-year deal, per sources.
And it’s neither here nor there, but is there now a better looking QB-WR combo in the NFL than Tom Brady and Decker?

New England is relatively deep at the wide receiver position even with Julian Edelman serving a four-game suspension to start the year, so Decker will not be a lock to make the 53-man roster. He’s also missed valuable time during the offseason and hasn’t worked with Tom Brady at all, so he’s facing an uphill climb.
Decker appeared in all 16 games with the Tennessee Titans last season, catching 54 passes for 563 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots faced the Titans in the postseason and Decker and Bill Belchick had an awkward exchange.
