Philip Rivers willing to leave Chargers to continue playing
Philip Rivers has played for the Chargers his entire career, but he’s willing to change that to keep playing elsewhere.
With Rivers’ future with Los Angeles up in the air, the quarterback said after Sunday’s season finale that he had no plans to retire but would at least consider playing for a different organization.
Philip Rivers said he would consider playing for a team other than the #Chargers. At this point, he said, retirement is not really an option.

Rivers’ future is up in the air. He’s due to become a free agent after this season and there are whispers that the Chargers are looking to move on after 15 years to someone younger and with more of a long-term future. Rivers has been clear that he wants to keep playing, and it appears that he knows he might have to leave to keep doing it.
Rivers’ touchdown total dropped to 23 this year, coupled with 20 interceptions. He may be a solid veteran transitional figure for some NFL team if he were to leave the Chargers.
