The Los Angeles Rams are changing kickers once again, this time as they prepare for a postseason run.

The Rams clinched a playoff berth on Sunday with a win over the New York Giants and a Seattle Seahawks loss. Kicker Lucas Havrisik missed two extra points in L.A.’s 26-25 win. On Monday, the Rams announced that Havrisik has been waived.

A short while later, Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that the team will re-sign Brett Maher.

Maher entered the season as the Rams’ kicker. He was cut after he missed two field goals and an extra point in a Week 7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 34-year-old veteran is 17/23 on field goals and 12/13 on extra-point attempts this season.

Havrisik went 15/20 on field goals and 19/22 on extra points in nine games with Los Angeles.

Obviously, the Rams cannot be feeling all that great about their kicking situation heading into the playoffs.
