Report: Kellen Winslow II arrested on kidnapping, rape charges

Kellen Winslow

Kellen Winslow II was arrested in San Diego on Thursday, and now details are emerging regarding the circumstances.

According to TMZ Sports, Winslow is being charged with nine items, including kidnapping with intent to commit rape, forcible rape, forcible sodomy, burglary and indecent exposure.

An arrest warrant was issued for Winslow on Thursday by the San Diego district attorney and he was taken into custody. The 34-year-old is set to be arraigned on Friday.

The arrest is Winslow’s second in a week. He was arrested last week on suspicion of burglary at a mobile home park in Encinitas, San Diego. His attorney dismissed the allegation and said an overly concerned neighbor had called the police. Winslow’s defense was that he was house-hunting for his mother-in-law.

Winslow is the son of Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow. The tight end played in the NFL from 2004-2013 and made the Pro Bowl in 2007 with the Browns.
