Peyton Manning: Tom Brady apology was not necessary
Peyton Manning is being a good sport about some things said about him in private emails sent by Tom Brady and friends.
Comments made about Manning in email conversations involving Brady were exposed when the contents of the Patriots quarterback’s appeal hearing were released last week. One particular item that got attention was Brady supposedly ripping Manning over longevity.

Most of the mocking actually was provided by someone else, while Brady mostly gave pretty even-handed, politically-correct responses. Still, the story went viral anyway, and it resulted in Brady texting an apology to Manning. Manning is rolling with it and downplayed the severity of Brady’s comments:
Manning said no harm, no foul on Brady email. Said Brady sent apology text. "It wasn't necessary. I have been roasted. That wasn't a roast"

It’s nice that Peyton recognizes how tame the exchanges were. Plus, it’s all rooted in reality anyway; Manning knows he’s not going to be playing a whole lot longer, especially with all of the health issues he’s endured the past few years.
