Robert Griffin III to start against Vikings
Robert Griffin III will start for the Washington Redskins against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, according to a report from Dianna Marie Russini of NBC 4 in Washington, D.C.
There was some speculation that the Redskins would hold Griffin out until after their Week 10 bye, but the team must be confident he has fully recovered from his ankle injury and is ready to return.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk speculates that the Redskins are trying to avoid the prospect of Colt McCoy going 3-0 as a starter and creating an unnecessary quarterback controversy. I’d like to think Jay Gruden is doing what he believes gives his team the best chance to win.
