An incredibly precise instant replay shot showed that Rueben Randle never stepped out of bounds on his 37-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter to tie the New York Giants and Chicago Bears game at 14 on Thursday.
The play was reviewed as all scoring players are, but it looked like there was a chance Randle’s touchdown would be called back because his foot was so close to the sidelines. After reviewing the play, the touchdown stood, and that replay angle showed Randle’s foot was centimeters away from the white paint.
Randle was having another solid game for the Giants, but a miscommunication between him and Eli Manning allowed Tim Jennings to return an interception for a touchdown in the first quarter to make it 7-0.
