Tannehill completed the first 18 passes he threw against Houston on Sunday. Combined with the fact that he completed his last seven passes last Sunday, Tannehill tallied up 25 completions in a row, with the final one breaking the record.

Tannehill ended up finishing 18-19, with his final pass of the day – the first one he threw after breaking the record – landing incomplete. Overall, the Dolphins quarterback threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns as his team routed Houston.
Tannehill isn’t necessarily the name you’d think of when guessing who might set a record like that. This is, after all, a quarterback who has had serious issues battling his practice squad. That said, with the state of the Texans’ defense, perhaps it isn’t that surprising after all.
