The New Orleans Saints will be looking to avenge a recent loss against a division rival when they face the Atlanta Falcons on Thanksgiving Day, but they will have to do so without one of their best offensive linemen.
Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s win over the Carolina Panthers, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that he will miss Thursday’s game and beyond. The injury is a high-ankle sprain, which can take around a month to fully heal.
#Saints highly touted LT Terron Armstead suffered a high-ankle sprain in yesterday’s win over the #Panthers, sources say, and he’s out for Thursday’s game. Armstead is considered week-to-week for an injury that generally can take a month or more for recovery.

Armstead, a third-round back back in 2013, made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career last year despite missing five games. He has had some injury trouble in the past, but he’s a significant reason the Saints consistently have one of the best offenses in the NFC.
In addition to Armstead, the Saints are also without starting guard Andrus Peat because of a broken arm. New Orleans only managed to put up nine points in a home loss to the Falcons two weeks ago, and they’ll need some second-string players to step up on Thursday if they want to make that feel like a distant memory.
