Sean McVay admits he was outcoached in Super Bowl loss
Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay had a rude awakening as to the talent of Bill Belichick and his coaching staff on Sunday in Super Bowl LIII.
McVay openly admitted after the 13-3 loss that he had been outcoached by Belichick, and blamed himself for the team’s inability to find its rhythm offensively.
Rams coach Sean McVay: “I never enabled us to get in a rhythm offensively…but Todd is healthy…I got outcoached tonight.”

Many were surprised that the Rams’ offense was so flat, and McVay seems to be taking the blame for it. Some of the playcalls were curious, as the Rams insisted on repeatedly throwing on third and short, and never sorted out their run game. Ultimately, he’s still very young and can grow and learn from this, but he definitely got a lesson from a master of in-game adjustments as Belichick got the better of him on this night.
