A Minneapolis party and concert venue that will be extensively used for Super Bowl LII festivities this week was briefly evacuated on Wednesday due to a gas leak.
The Armory is set to host shows from Imagine Dragons, P!nk, Jennifer Lopez, Diddy, DJ Khaled, and Cardi B, among others, this week. According to TMZ, law enforcement responded to the leak at about 1 p.m. They discovered gas coming from a pressure relief valve, drained the valve, and evacuated the premises.
The evacuation was short-lived, as regular operations had resumed within a few hours.
According to the Armory’s website, the venue is experiencing something of a revival after decades of inactivity, and is clearly a focal point of the Super Bowl party scene this week. It’s good that everything was sorted out quickly here without incident.
