Titus Young to Lions: If you’re going to cut me, do it; I’m tired of the threats
Titus Young has had more than his fair share of chances with the Detroit Lions, but if he continues to tweet ridiculous things throughout the offseason he may wind up forcing the team to part ways with him. Earlier this week, Young went on a Twitter rant about how he doesn’t want to play anymore if he doesn’t start seeing more balls thrown his way. He also said that he has never run the wrong route.
Those tweets have since been deleted, but that didn’t stop the former Boise State Bronco from tweeting another gem on Friday morning. This time, Young took aim at the Lions for apparently threatening to cut him and not doing anything about it.
Oh I’m not done, if y’all going to cut me let me go. I’m tired of the threats

Oh yeah, and he also thinks that Canton may be calling when his astonishing NFL career comes to an end:
Never needed the money Give me a dollar and a ball bet I come back #HallofFame

At this point, it’s starting to sound like Young wants out of Detroit. He reportedly sabotaged his own offense this past season, which was merely another blemish on what has been a two-year career of turmoil with the Lions. I think the media has been more responsible for the so-called “threats” that Titus is going to be cut, but he obviously feels as though the team has been flirting with the idea.
Most players would appreciate the fact that their team has chosen to stick with them through several disciplinary issues, but Young continues to act like a child by going public with his frustrations. The more he talks and tweets, the less of a choice he gives head coach Jim Schwartz.
