The Dallas Cowboys feel they have found their quarterback of the future in Dak Prescott, which means the team will likely look to trade Tony Romo this offseason. According to one report, Romo may already know where he wants to go.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media said Sunday that Romo will have a “significant say” in where he is traded and has his sights set on the Denver Broncos.
When #Cowboys look to trade Tony Romo this offseason, he’ll have significant say. I’m told he has eyes on the #Broncos as a potential spot.

The Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals are also said to be potential destinations for Romo. Since Romo would have to agree to renegotiate his contract wherever he is traded, he essentially has the power to veto any deal.
Rapoport also notes that Romo will consider retirement depending how his body feels down the stretch. While he feels he is still in great shape, Romo may not want to leave the Cowboys organization and could instead retire as a player and take on another role with the team.
The latest information we learned about Romo’s return from a back injury indicates he still wants to play. The Broncos still have a top-notch defense, so a career path similar to the one Peyton Manning took would make sense if John Elway decides he wants to go that route again.
