Tyreek Hill doubles down on his challenge to Noah Lyles

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill continues to up the ante as he prepares to challenge Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles to a race.

On Friday, Hill shared video of himself running a 100-meter race as he appears to be training for a showdown with Lyles. Based on the video, Hill ran the 100 in 10.15 seconds at a Last Chance Sprint Series event in California.

At the end of the video, Hill holds up a sign that reads “Noah Could Never.” That appears to be a reference to Lyles holding up a similar sign targeting Hill at a February event.

Hill’s problem is that Lyles could, in fact, match that time. He ran a 9.784 in the 100-meter final to win Olympic gold last August. As great as Hill’s time is, it would not even have qualified him for the final in Paris.

Hill and Lyles have said they plan to race at some point this year, though the details have yet to be announced. Hill clearly seems to be taking the challenge seriously and is working on lowering his time. He still has a lot of work to do to best Lyles even based on these numbers.
