Xavien Howard facing disturbing new allegations in lawsuit
Former Miami Dolphins star Xavien Howard is facing some troubling new allegations in an ongoing lawsuit against him.
Howard was sued last year by a woman who claims the four-time Pro Bowl defensive back made secret sex tapes of her and then distributed them to at least one person without the woman’s permission. The alleged victim said she found out about the tapes after another woman sent them to her. According to the accuser, Howard sent the footage to the other woman to “make her mad because she didn’t want to have sex with him.”
In a new court filing on Thursday, Howard was accused of sending a minor sexually explicit content of the child’s mother because Howard was angry that the woman refused to get an abortion. According to documents that were obtained by Grethel Aguila of the Miami Herald, attorneys Cam Justice and Adriana Alcalde have requested that the then-minor who allegedly received the explicit photos be permitted to sue Howard as part of the pending lawsuit.
The then-minor claims in the court filing that his mother was in a relationship with Howard and got pregnant around September 2022. Howard allegedly demanded that the woman have an abortion and she refused. At that point, attorneys say Howard “went on a warpath against her” and texted the boy sexually explicit photos of the boy’s mother, which caused “significant emotional distress.”
Howard said he had the boy’s number because the woman would sometimes text the former second-round pick from the child’s phone. The woman said she deleted the explicit photos when she became aware of them, but they remained accessible through her son’s iCloud account.
“Howard’s conduct was outrageous, went beyond all boundaries of decency, and it is and was regarded as odious and utterly intolerable in a civilized community,” the filing states.
Howard vehemently denied the allegations in the initial lawsuit and claimed the accuser tried to extort him for millions of dollars before suing him.
Howard has faced multiple lawsuits over the past several years. He was sued in October 2022 by a woman who claimed the cornerback knowingly gave her an STD. That lawsuit was dropped last year.
Howard was also sued in late 2022 by his former fiancée and mother of his three children. The second lawsuit stemmed from a domestic violence incident that led to Howard’s arrest in 2019.
The Dolphins released Howard back in March after he spent eight seasons with the team. The 30-year-old remains a free agent.
