The 2024 PGA Championship will come to a close on Sunday and legendary broadcaster Jim Nantz will have the call.

It’s already been an eventful few days at the Valhalla Golf Course, highlighted by Scottie Scheffler, the world’s No. 1-ranked golfer, being arrested after what he called a “misunderstanding” with police.

Assuming Scheffler, who is -9 and tied for fourth entering Saturday play, erases Xander Schauffele’s three-stroke lead and wins the tournament, fans believe they know the call Nantz will give.

Given Nantz’s historical style, the fans could be onto something. And they weren’t done with some hilarious suggestions, either.

“From on his way to the slammer to on his way to the slam, Scottie Scheffler has won the PGA Championship,” one user on X joked.

“No signs of reckless driving on this beautiful Sunday, as Scottie has just found his 14th fairway and has a 3 stroke lead,” another wrote.

All that needs to happen now is for Scheffler to weave his way through the traffic ahead of him and secure a victory, paving the way for Nantz to drop an all-time line.
