Pictures of Tiger Woods’ Deserted Golf Course in Dubai
Tiger Woods’ name was supposed to back a golf course in Dubai that he was designing, but the project has been put on hold because of the global economic recession. Six holes were completed (as you can kind of tell in the pictures), and you can really get to see how incredible of an accomplishment it is to build a course in the middle of the desert.
“The estate was to house a $1 billion golf course, surrounded by a complex of 100 villas, 75 mansions, 22 palaces, a boutique hotel, a golf academy and 30,000 full-grown imported trees.” Lofty aspirations, but I would also like a platinum coated toilet and a bidet that sprays Evian water. It just isn’t happening. Hopefully they’ve realized how absurd a billion dollar golf facility in Dubai is. Not even oil can back that.
