Russell Henley hit such a perfect shot during the final round of the Masters on Sunday that he caused a stoppage in play.
Henley holed out for Eagle on the par-4 fifth hole, and he destroyed the turf around the cup in the process. Rather than hitting the green and rolling into the hole, the ball went in on the fly and left a sizable dent.

Because of the damage to the hole, the grounds crew at Augusta National had to come on and create a new hole location.
In reality, Henley’s shot wasn’t all that perfect. He was calling for it to “sit” because he knew he got too much of it, which is why it went into the hole on the fly. But even if it wasn’t as perfect as this shot we saw for an eagle at a different major a few years back, it brought the biggest golf tournament of the year to a screeching halt. That has to count for something.
