Zach Johnson scared sh–tless by air cannon while putting (Video)
Zach Johnson finished tied for third at the John Deere Classic on Sunday, and we’ll never know how the final three holes would have gone if he didn’t have the crap scared out of him by an air cannon on the 16th green.
Johnson was literally in the middle of his backswing on a birdie putt when an incredibly loud noise startled him half to death. It almost sounded like an M-80 or some other type of explosive, but reports have indicated that it was an air cannon fired from a boat passing by.
If that was intentional, it wasn’t cool. There’s a difference between distracting a player — which is still immature — and giving everyone a jolt like that. If you really need to make noise at a PGA event, try using a chant like this.
