Livvy Dunne has been cast in FOX’s upcoming reboot of the iconic series “Baywatch,” marking her professional acting debut.
The former LSU and U.S. gymnast, who helped lead the LSU Tigers to an NCAA team championship gold medal in 2024 before retiring from the sport in 2025, will play a recurring role as Grace, a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard.
The news, first reported by Deadline, highlights Dunne’s transition from gymnastics stardom and massive social media influence to on-screen work. She has long expressed interest in acting, telling People earlier that it was a passion she set aside during her student-athlete days when gymnastics was her primary focus.
Now, with more time available post-retirement, Dunne is diving into the creative side of entertainment.
The reboot, slated for the 2026-2027 season, features a fresh ensemble including Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon (son of the original Mitch), Shay Mitchell, Brooks Nader as the sharp-tongued Captain Selene, Noah Beck, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Jessica Belkin, and David Chokachi reprising his role as Cody Madison.
The cast recently held its first table read.
Dunne, who is dating Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, reacted to the casting announcement on social media with excitement.
This role represents a new chapter for the athlete-turned-influencer as she expands into acting.
