Livvy Dunne has seen everyone getting off their jokes about her this week.
The gymnastics star Dunne, who is the girlfriend of Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes, went viral on Wednesday over her intense reaction to Skenes’ final start of the 2025 season. Skenes threw six shoutout innings against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, striking out seven as the Pirates won 4-3.
Dunne was in the stands at the ballpark on Wednesday cheering on her boyfriend Skenes. Fans loved how absolutely hyped she got, particularly during a key at-bat down the stretch of the game.
The viewing experience was apparently so intense that Dunne was visibly sweating during the contest while Skenes was on the mound. One viral image from the television broadcast showed Dunne with sweat stains under her arms.

On Thursday, Dunne posted a video to her TikTok page about baseball season ending. In the comments of her video, one fan took a swipe at her over the viral photo, writing, “You put the ‘pit’ in Pittsburgh.”
That led to a fantastic response from Dunne herself, who wrote, “You’d break a sweat too being a Pirates fan.”

That was very well-played by Dunne, who even had the grace to “like” the fan’s original shady comment. The Pirates are 70-90 this season and have become notorious for wasting Skenes’ brilliant outings. Thus, you can’t blame Dunne for getting a little nervous on Wednesday about Pittsburgh potentially blowing the game there.
As for the viral photo, Dunne really has nothing to be ashamed of. Sweating is a very normal part of being human, particularly in high-intensity situations like Wednesday’s game was. The ballpark was also the perfect place for that kind of outfit, which was more casual than the elegant fits that we are used to seeing Dunne in.
