Look: Avalanche fan brings kale to game in support of Cale Makar
One Colorado Avalanche fan got goofy for the team’s playoff game on Wednesday night.
The Avs hosted the Calgary Flames in Game 4 of their first round series. The Pepsi Center was rocking, and BSN Denver’s Ryan Koenigsberg even caught video of a fan behind the net who was waving a bunch of kale in the air:

The kale bunch was a nod to Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar. The 20-year-old No. 4 overall pick from 2017 made his NHL debut in Game 3, even scoring a goal in the game. He recently joined the team after playing for UMass (Amherst) in the NCAA championship game.
We’ve seen hockey fans bring some odd items to games, and this is certainly up there, though much less gross than others.
