New York Islanders captain John Tavares wasn’t about to let a little thing like a few loose teeth knock him out of action on Friday night.
During the second period of the Isles’ 3-2 loss at the Chicago Blackhawks, the former No. 1 overall pick took a puck to the face that knocked loose a few of his teeth. In the GIF above, you can see Tavares pull out one of his teeth and hand it to the trainer. The funny part? The trainer already had a few of Tavares’ chiclets in his hand. That’s hockey for you.
