Jonathan Marchessault takes dig at Tom Wilson
Jonathan Marchessault couldn’t resist taking a dig at Tom Wilson after Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday night.
The Vegas Golden Knights star was asked after his team’s 3-2 loss about teammate Brayden McNabb’s hit that knocked Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov out of the game. In his response, Marchessault alluded to the hit he took from Tom Wilson in Game 1.
Jonathan Marchessault asked about the McNabb hit on Kuznetsov: “At least he had the puck.'' Hey oh.

Marchessault was the victim of a blindside hit from Wilson on Monday night. Wilson hit Marchessault when he didn’t have the puck, which led to an interference penalty. In this case, McNabb’s hit came when Kuznetsov had the puck. The hit from McNabb seemed more significant though as Kuznetsov did not return to the game.
