Did the person behind the popular NFL aggregation social media account Dov Kleiman sell his account to someone else? That’s what is being reported.
Kleiman has used an X account for several years and often aggregates and repackages quotes, news, rumors and stories through his account. He teases headlines and is careful with the way he presents news in order to maximize how much engagement he gets on his account.
On Monday though, Kleiman’s account took things to a new low.

The account spread a rumor saying that Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis had impregnated a young Instagram model.

The rumor was so wild and so incorrect that the woman in question, Hayden Hopkins, posted a statement to shoot down the rumor.
The error was egregious, even by Kleiman’s low standards. But it turns out Kleiman himself may not have created the post even though it came from his account.
In the day since the post from Kleiman’s account went viral and was later deleted, a few people have reported that the real Kleiman had sold the X account bearing his name.
Barstool Sports’ Jack McGuire said he got it confirmed that Kleiman had sold his account.
Got it confirmed to me this past week that the “real” Dov Kleiman sold his account this past season.
The current owner of his account is an engagement farmer through aggregation.
I’d assume whoever runs it will start selling ads soon. Lucrative account. They don’t care about… https://t.co/6hkHA5NFim

Front Office Sports’ A.J. Perez contacted Kleiman about the account, and Kleiman said he couldn’t comment on the account.
Asked if it was true that he sold his account and there's somebody else running @NFL_DovKleiman, Dov tells @FOS via email: "Respectfully, I can't comment on that Twitter account."

That seems to confirm he is no longer associated with it, though the account still holds his name.
This news does not change or erase the mistake made by the account on Monday, but it does put things in a new perspective.
