Conor McGregor, Khabib UFC 229 fight purses revealed
Just how much money will Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov pocket for headlining UFC 229 on Saturday night? While their total amount of money earned will not be known until after all the pay-per-view revenues come in, we do know how much each fighter will receive through their guaranteed purses.
According to MMA Fighting’s Shaheen Al-Shatti, McGregor will receive $3 million and Khabib $2 million as their purses for the fight. Neither fighter has a win bonus. The purses are the same as what McGregor and Nate Diaz received for their UFC 202 fight.
By comparison, no fighter on the undercard is set to earn more than $290,000. Anthony Pettis has is guaranteed to make $145,000 for his fight and can double that if he wins.
Keep in mind that this is only a percentage of the money McGregor will earn. He is getting a cut of the pay-per-view revenue and estimated he would make around $50 million for the fight.
McGregor: "They're estimating around 3-3.5 million (PPV buys), I'd say I'm closing around the $50 million mark. For a mixed martial artist to make $50 million for a mixed martial arts bout, it's quite breathtaking"
Adds that he could be a billionaire by age 35 (he's 30 now)

On top of his guaranteed fight purse and pay-per-view cut, McGregor’s new whiskey company is an official sponsor of the fight and stands to cash in thanks to brand exposure. Separately, McGregor has also recently finalized two multi-million dollar endorsement deals.
UFC boss Dana White said during the week that the fight was trending towards 3 million buys, which would mean major money for the UFC, television companies, and McGregor.
