Conor McGregor seemingly ends spat with Khabib in positive tweet
Conor McGregor seemingly ended a social media spat with Khabib Nurmagomedov by sending a positive tweet on Wednesday night.
McGregor and Khabib had been trading shots on Twitter, which began with McGregor taking a shot at Khabib’s religion. He posted a photo of Khabib’s wife wearing a hajib and said “Your wife is a towel mate” in his Twitter post.
I used to be a big fan of Conor, he really had the nerve to call Khabib’s wife a towel mate! What a disappointment. pic.twitter.com/O8rlG4gANZ

He later deleted the inappropriate tweet.
Khabib responded by calling out McGregor over the legal matter he’s facing.
Rapist, you are Rapist.
You are a hypocrite who is not responsible for your actions. Justice will find you.

The activities between the men were bad enough to prompt a response from Dana White, who called it “unacceptable.”
McGregor seemed to get the message, because he sent a tweet about moving forward and preaching love for everyone.
I want to move forward, with my fans of all faiths and all backgrounds.
All faiths challenge us to be our best selves.
It is one world and one for all
Now see you in the Octagon.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 4, 2019
Whether he means it or not is a good question. It seems clear that McGregor is trying to trash talk his way into a rematch with Khabib after losing to him in October.
