Report: UFC fighter Josh Samman in critical condition
UFC fighter Josh Samman is in critical condition at a hospital in south Florida, according to reports and statements from friends.
Samman, a middleweight who is 12-4 in his professional fighting career, was found unresponsive in south Florida on Friday, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. His friend and roommate, Troy Kirkinburg, was pronounced dead on arrival. There is no public word yet on what happened to either of the men.
Samman is in critical condition at a hospital and on a respirator, according to a friend.
In addition to his fighting career, Samman helped create the promotion Combat Night. He was a writer who wrote a book about his addiction, injuries and the death of his girlfriend. His girlfriend Hailey Bevis died in 2013 in a single-car crash.
