Israel Adesanya is not letting a career-worst losing streak keep him down and out.
Adesanya (24-6, 16 KOs) lost to Joe Pyfer (16-3, 10 KOs) via TKO in the second round of their UFC Fight Night main event at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Wash. Adesanya, once the toast of the UFC’s middleweight division, succumbed to a fourth-straight defeat.
The once confident bordering on cocky Adesanya looked like the lesser fighter during the short bout as he lost on strikes.
What happened to Israel Adesanya? Once untouchable, now it feels like he’s getting KO’d by everyone…💔 A shocking downgrade for a fighter who seemed unstoppable #UFCSeattle

“Keep going, again, and again, and again, and again,” Adesanya said. “I’m not f—ing leaving! You’ll never stop me. I might get beaten, but I will always remain undefeated.”
Adesanya was once one of the UFC’s biggest draws after winning 12 of his first 13 fights in the Octagon. But after falling flat in marquee matchups against Alex Pereira, Sean Strickland, and Dricus Du Plessis, his star has since lost its shine. Back-to-back defeats against Pyfer and Nassourdine Imamov have knocked him further down the UFC rankings.
Adesanya isn’t going to let those losses end the 36-year-old’s career just yet. But you have to wonder just how many more losses it would take before the UFC starts thinking twice about booking him.
