The person who fled from the scene of an alleged hit and run in Albuquerque, N.M., on Sunday was reportedly driving a rental car that was registered to Jon Jones.

It is still unclear if that man was Jones himself, though Jones was later upgraded to a suspect in the case. No warrant has been issued for his arrest.

TMZ reports that a police officer witnessed a man running from the car on foot and believes the man may have been the 6-foot-4, 205-pound UFC light heavyweight champion. As of Monday morning, Jones had not yet spoken with police.

A pregnant woman was reportedly hospitalized after the hit and run with non-life threatening injuries.

LBS was told on Sunday evening that Jones was not in custody. However, we determined that he was in Albuquerque at a Twin Peaks on Saturday night watching UFC 186 with fellow fighter Andrei Arlovski. You can see a photo that shows the two together here.

As many of you know, Jones has been in the news multiple times over the past year. It came out in January that he tested positive for cocaine prior to his fight with Daniel Cormier, which led to a one-day stay in a rehab facility. Jones was also arrested for DWI in New York three years ago.

UPDATE: Police reportedly found marijuana in the car after the accident.
