UFC will not discipline Conor McGregor for bus attack

UFC chief Dana White is satisfied with how the legal system handled Conor McGregor’s bus attack in New York, and he has no intention of adding any more discipline on top of that.

McGregor is returning to UFC, and White said that they were waiting for his legal proceedings to conclude before moving forward.

“Obviously, I’ve been telling you guys forever we had to wait until Conor’s stuff was handled in New York,” White told TMZ Sports. “[That] got done. It was very favorable for Conor. Time to roll.”

McGregor ultimately received a plea deal and was sentenced to five days of community service and ordered to attend anger management courses. As far as White is concerned, that’s enough punishment.

“Suspended? He hasn’t fought in 2 years. How much longer should we suspend him?” White said. “He’s obviously lost lots of money. Millions of dollars in what went down in New York. What more could we do to him? He went through the legal process and got what he got. That’s it.”

White originally made it sound like McGregor may never fight in UFC again, but he ultimately changed his tune. Now he’s not even punishing him, presumably because McGregor’s a big draw and money talks.
