
The Rio Olympics will be giving priority seating to a number of different spectators, including those who are overweight.
Team China shared some photos on Twitter earlier this week that show seats which are marked as reserved for pregnant women, elderly and disabled folks. It would also appear that there are special seats saved for those who are obese.

That is … interesting. Yes, we know there are health conditions that lead to obesity. But there are also people who are just lazy and choose to live an unhealthy lifestyle. Are they receiving viewing preference in Rio?
Given some of the serious issues we have already heard about in Rio, priority seating probably is not a major concern. That doesn’t mean it won’t be yet another source of frustration.
