Megan Rapinoe defends Alex Morgan over controversial celebration
Alex Morgan has faced some criticism for the way she celebrated her goal in the USA’s semifinal match against England on Tuesday, and Megan Rapinoe thinks anyone who had a problem with it needs to lighten up.
When asked on Wednesday about the reaction to Morgan’s tea-sipping celebration, Rapinoe mocked the critics and said the US team likes to “work hard” and “play hard.”

Many fans in the United States thought Morgan’s celebration was clever and hilarious, but one English player ripped her for it. The US team clearly isn’t concerned about offending opponents.
