Despite not having scored a goal yet in the 2014 World Cup, Iran can remain alive in the tournament with a win over Boznia and Herzegovina, a Nigeria win over Argentina, and a lot of help with tiebreakers. The Iranians did not get off to the best start on Wednesday.
For a brief moment in the first half, it looked like Iran had finally gotten on the board. However, the World Cup’s computer review system determined that a shot hit the cross bar and bounced straight down, never crossing the goal line. Bosnia-Herzegovina went on to take an early 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute.

Oh, and the video you see above? That was just Muhamed Besic accidentally socking an Iranian player in the face. We realize it was an accident, but it’s just another example of the type of day Iran was having.
