Sydney Leroux husband Dom Dwyer predicts win for USWNT
Sydney Leroux’s husband Dom Dwyer has a good feeling about the USWNT’s Women’s World Cup Final game against Japan.
Leading up to the game, Dwyer essentially predicted a victory for his wife’s squad:
I have a special feeling on a special day

Can't help but walk around with a constant smile on my face today

Dwyer was born and raised in England, where he grew up playing soccer. He came over to the US for college, winning national championships at Tyler Junior College in Texas, and then moving on to the University of South Florida. He was drafted into the MLS and has played for Sporting KC since 2012. He has become a star for Sporting KC and even scored a career-high four goals against FC Dallas on July 1.
Dwyer and Leroux began dating in 2014 and it wasn’t until last December that Leroux went public about the relationship. While we were all thinking that Dwyer was just her boyfriend, they shocked everyone by announcing in February that they had gotten married.
Leroux is definitely the more accomplished athlete of the two. The Canadian-born striker started off playing for Canada’s national team as a youth, but as a dual citizen, she moved to the US for high school and played college ball at UCLA. She has been playing for the USWNT since 2012.
